WHICH COUNTY DO I LIVE IN?​

The southern 2/3 of the City of Richardson is in Dallas County, while the northern 1/3 is in Collin County. If you live in Richardson ISD, you are in Dallas County. If you live in Plano ISD, you are in Collin County. Click here to view a precinct map of Richardson.
WHAT’S ON THE BALLOT?

Everyone in Texas will vote on:

President and Vice-President of the United States
-
One U.S. Senate race (1 of 2 Texas’s U.S. Senators is up for election)

One U.S. House of Representatives race (all of Texas’s 36 U.S. House districts are up for election)
-
Statewide races (for example, Railroad Commissioner, various judicial races)
Depending on which county you live in, you may vote on:

One Texas House of Representatives race (all 150 Texas House districts are up for election)

County races (for example, County Commissioner, Sheriff, County Constable, Tax Assessor-Collector, various judicial races)

Local races postponed from the canceled May election (for example, Garland City Council)
The local election for Richardson ISD Board of Trustees was canceled due to the fact that only one candidate filed for each of the two open seats.

The Texas House District 102 candidates are Linda Koop and Ana-Maria Ramos.

SAMPLE BALLOTS

Dallas County
Sample ballots for Dallas County are now available on the Dallas County Elections Department website.
To view your precinct's sample ballot, go to the Voter Lookup page and fill out your information. You will then be able to view a sample ballot containing only those races you will vote on.
Collin County
Sample ballots for Collin County are now available on the Collin County Elections Department website.
To view the sample ballot containing only those races you will vote on, you need your precinct number. You can find your precinct number on your voter registration card, or you can look it up using the Voter Registration Search function on the Collin County Elections Department website.
IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING

Voters who are registered in either Dallas County or Collin County by Monday, October 5, 2020, may vote early at any Early Voting location in the county they live in. Early Voting begins October 13 and ends October 30.

You may bring handwritten or printed materials with you when you vote. You may not use electronic devices, including cell phones, while voting. Click here for a list of acceptable forms of photo ID.

Dallas County voters who plan to vote early at the Richardson Civic Center (City Hall) will find special precautions in place to safeguard voters. Click here to see a map of City Hall to find out where to park and where to enter the building when you go to vote. Note that voters must enter the building through the north door, which faces the fountain next to the library.

ELECTION DAY VOTING

Voters who are registered in either Dallas County or Collin County by Monday, October 5, 2020 (and who have not voted early in person or by mail) may vote on Election Day at any open Vote Center in the county they live in. On Election Day, November 3, 2020, polls are open between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Voters in line by 7:00 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
